Mechanics
A car that will not run is not a car.
Many cars that arrive here are beautiful and motionless. Ten years in a garage, a dead battery, hardened hoses and fuel gone stale. Getting them roadworthy again takes more method than parts.
Recommissioning
You do not wake an engine that has stood for years by turning the key. We drain it, check compression, replace what has dried out, and build oil pressure before the first start. An engine wrecked on waking costs ten times the preparation that would have saved it.
Brakes and running gear
This is the part owners put off and the part that decides everything. Seized calipers, swollen hoses, spent dampers, perished bushes. On a car that gathers speed easily, none of it is negotiable.
Regular servicing
Oil, belts, plugs, clutch, a check before a long run or an outing. A car that runs little wears differently from one that runs a lot, and it needs watching differently.
